July. Only two more days left in July. Still no word on a date for settlement. Ho Hum.... So much for "June being the worst case scenario for settlement." So we continue to practice patience.

One fence is finished on our block and all the other fences in the estate have been done. Guessing that they will do the right side fence once they've landscaped the reserve. Will have to ask about that though - even though it might be nice not to have a fence on the reserve side - I still want one to keep our cute, little dog in and pesky, nosey children out.

They've put in the playground now. Not that you can see much from my photo - I didn't want to get out of the car to get closer and take a pic when the workers were there putting on the mulch. But it looks good. Our youngest will be happy to know they've got a spider web climbing rope/chain thingie - he likes them.

There's only four more blocks yet to be sold in the estate. They've gone up about 30K from what we paid, and they're smaller than our block. Gotta be happy about that!

Bedroom Style

I love our bedroom furniture. I made the headboard and updated our bedsides and chest of drawers. You can read about how I did that here. The only thing I'd like to add to our bedroom in our new house is a big mirror and the settee seen in this style board.

And our boys. Our eldest loves orange and trains. Our youngest green and skateboards.

We have a half finished mudroom in our current home (one of those things we'll finish before we put the house on the market). Having one in our new house was a must (and hopefully we wont take very long to fit it out...)

We added 2m to the garage to create a store room. One side will have two big linen cupboards and opposite these we'll make up some cubby shelf thingies for our coats, shoes and other bits and bobs.

Hopefully we can make something similar to the pics below...

Still no idea on when settlement will be...

On a positive note - we have the beginning of a fence!

So many options. Just need the $$$ - LOL! It's fun to dream though!

Here's some ideas I like...

Grey and Yellow Family Room

Blue and Cream Family Room

Fun and Colourful Family Room

I've seen the light

Finally found the light to go above our dining table. And the price!!!! I'm so pleased! Bargain!!!!

Zola 4 Light Chandelier from Early Settler - $129

Pity they don't have the pendant lights I'd like for the kitchen island at a similar price...
I'd happily settle for the light below if it was in the right colour.  At $120 less than the Hamptons style light I'd really like I'd be quite happy with this...

Grantham Pendant from Early Settler - $99
